Flawed Reality

Was it ever a "friend" or not?
They said so
But little they know of here
My version
Is tainted by your heart
Blinded by my love for you
And oh-so separate by giant steps

But wait
There is a chance, I see
It comes soon, for you, for me
Its 'Ugly Head' will raise I'm sure
I am NOT sure
If I SHOULD come again to you at your door

I once wrote it well
"I want too much, Think too far"
And dream the "Impossible" dream
When all I want and need
Is what should be real
With you

But politics, red and blue
THIS IS what holds me from you
Take them, throw and BE NO MORE!
WHY do you TAKE HER from my door?
The void is wide
And my jump weak
Never a Leap Of Faith would work
Just hope of closure and union

And to be that AGAIN
Ohh I would be the KING of ALL MEN!
My horse strong, arms wide
To welcome, to take you back inside
I would join, no sacrifice with you, NO MORE!
You would SEE, WE COULD BE alone NO MORE!

But no
As here it comes again
I wake
And it tumbles, falls
BACK to the floor ....
