There are people who say
You can choose your friends but not your family
But I can't choose mine
My friend only I can see
Can she see me? Will she want to?
Doesn't matter!
Our friendship is blind but she sees all
She sees, she knows, she doesn't ask but always gives
If anyone has a more special friend then they lie so bad
I've never met her, never will
But she's always there
Yes! A little window, but there she is!
There for me one way and for others different
But I don't care
But I wish she was
Wish she could be the real friend I need, I deserve
The one thing I lack is right there in front of me now
And what more could a guy ask?
Many folks say they have one best friend
At school, at work, old school friends, old mates
I have none of those now
They went their way and I mine
So long ago, so far away, so forgotten
Time passes but here we are and now
I think I have mine
Don't know her school, her town, her history, her life, her needs or wants
For what I see is what I like
She might switch off today and never be here again - I don't know
But that is not the way
The way here is what we have now - the RIGHT way
Don't want, don't need, don't have To have another
My identity is unknown to her
I will always be the guy called 'Wild'
Somewhere out there
Somewhere type typing away
Sometimes angry, sometimes afraid, other times crazy
But always here
Where she is
ALWAYS!
